SUMMARY
Remedyverse. Scratch is the evil doppelganger of Alan Wake. The convoluted answer as to what and who he is a story. The Dark Presence created the double to take Alan’s place in the real world when he sacrificed himself to save Alice. Presumably, it would have been a similar situation as when it took Barbara Jagger’s form: violence and chaos in human flesh with no hint of humanity.
However, a lot of stories (tabloid and rumors alike) started circulating about Alan. They helped form Scratch from the Dark Presence wearing his face to a horror story made real by Cauldron Lake. He actually has a lot of Alan’s memories, too; which he comments repeatedly as being very strange for him.
Dead by Daylight. (pure headcanon) The aforementioned information above is still true, however, Scratch gets dragged into the Fog with Alan. He is given a human body instead of his paranatural one. Scratch considers the Entity and him to be “like family, if they even remotely worked in that manner.” However, for whatever reason, the Entity doesn’t recognize him. He doesn’t know how pissed he should be about this development and is working with the survivors.
Appearance. (headcanon lore/why he looks like both ages in icons) Scratch looks both how he did thirteen years ago and in the present. It's because people's perceptions of Alan are from thirteen years ago. They remember what he looked like then, but Alan knows what he looks like now. So he switches between both looks involuntarily.

If you wanna ship-ship with him, gonna have to see how the two characters vibe with each other in gen-threads first, honestly. Wanna PWP? I don’t think he’d care so long as certain desires of his are fulfilled. But again, vibes based.
FIGHTING. Sure. He’s got a whole lot of bullshit to him, is the only warning I got.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS. He’s an offensive topic. But more seriously, there isn’t one I can think of? If it’s real bad, let me know.
